Have you ever wondered what a wine might taste like six, eight or 10 years after bottling? Do you want to take your cellar to the next level? This workshop could be for you. Influential sommelier Luke Campbell of Vinified presents 5 Secrets of Cellaring with special guest Patrick Walsh of CellarHand, in an informal setting at QT in Melbourne.
You’ll compare several examples of current-release wines versus their aged counterparts to gain an understanding of the rewards of maturation, what styles are most suitable for laying down, plus a Q & A session with Patrick, to discuss opinions on aged wine in Australia.
Tickets cost $145 and this includes two Gabriel-Glas stems (value $45) to keep, Sommeliers Australia introductory membership, a copy of the current James Halliday Wine Companion Magazine, as well as all wines, a grazing plate and the opportunity to become a member of an exclusive personal sommelier network.
