Dutchess, Melbourne

Dutchess, Chalmers and CellarHand celebrate provenance and the relationships with local producers for a special Melbourne Food and Wine Festival event featuring produce from the land and the sea.
Two-hatted Head Chef Dylan Kemp (Royal Mail Hotel, The Point) will create four delectable courses using produce from provedores Sher Wagyu, Ocean Made Seafood, Signature Oysters and Yarra Valley Farms.
Each course will be perfectly paired with wines from family-run estate, Chalmers Wines by the Victorian Chair of Wine Communicators of Australia, Ed Merrison of CellarHand.
The Chalmers family are Australia’s undisputed champions of wine diversity. Their commitment to innovation and excellence has made them a pivotal force in the wine scene for more than 20 years, earning them the title of Gourmet Traveller WINE Viticulturist of the Year in 2014.
From oysters to wagyu, this lunch will shine a light on cherished suppliers and celebrate the merits of eating locally and sustainably.
The wines feed perfectly into the theme with Chalmers pioneering varieties they imported from Italy to suit growing conditions here in Australia. Their  sparkling Fiano, Vermentino, Rosato (a unique Sagrantino/Aglianico blend), Nero d’Avola and Sagrantino Appassimento will be a beautiful accompaniment to this fabulous food.
Tickets for ‘Relationships with Land and Sea’ are $98 per person with sessions running on Saturday 1st April.
