2017 Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Auslese
Emmerich Knoll
Grüner Veltliner from Kreutles, Loibenberg and Kellerberg - terraced vineyards with a southern exposure and a site at the foot of the mountain, with altitudes varying from 240-350m. The Knoll family produce their sweet wines only when weather conditions are conducive, so the yield is usually very small, only from selected botrytised grapes. Fermented with a combination of cultured and indigenous yeasts in glass demijohns and stainless steel tank.

A powerful and spicy Auslese that's only slightly sweet and, therefore, best drunk with sautéed liver or liver paté. Very long, texturally complex, creamy finish. Drink or hold.
