2014 TWR Sauvignon Blanc
TWR
The majority of fruit for this wine comes from the Awatere Valley sub-region of Marlborough. The growing conditions in this area are characterised by low fertility soils, cooler night-time temperatures and warmer days than in the Wairau Valley. This results in a longer ripening season which is all important for balanced wines with purity, ripe acidity and flavour concentration. The wines from this area tend to be more restrained in their youth but have great texture, structure and longevity which is why we choose to make an Awatere predominant blend.

Though really classic in the mesh of passionfruit, grass, pepper, capsicum and dried herbs, there’s a sniff of wet-slate-like minerality that chips its way into the perfume. Cool flow of fruit across the palate, light and clean, inward with concentration, finishing long, lightly puckering then mouth-watering. Feels effortless and classy.
