2024 Paul Blanck Pinot Blanc d’Alsace RRP $43
This wine sits in a range the Blancks call “Les Classiques”. These are easy, accessible wines made from the traditional Alsatian grape varieties. They are fruit-driven, aromatic, dry wines, and the Pinot Blanc is a perennial favourite around here. It has white-fleshed fruits, a dab of citrus, honeysuckle and almond, some earthy spice and soothing, chalky freshness that makes it very moreish.
The Immel Weissburgunder is 100% Pinot Blanc fermented in used wooden casks and stainless steel. Ageing on full lees helps this Weissburgunder achieve perfect balance. This variety is well-suited to the climatic conditions and mineral soils of Rheinhessen, producing versatile wines with an invigorating palate. It walks an impressive tightrope between freshness and elegance. Playful aromas of ripe fruit, herbs and mandarin lead to a beautifully creamy palate accented by vivid acidity.

2025 Groiss Gemischter Satz RRP $41
Gemischter Satz is a traditional and renowned Austrian field blend. In this system, multiple grape varieties—in this case, 17—are planted together in a single vineyard, randomly intermingled. They are harvested at the same time, which means that early-ripening varieties, often picked in a very ripe or nearly overripe state, contribute expressive, ripe fruit aromas. Later-ripening varieties such as Riesling or Welschriesling bring freshness and acidity. Other varieties add structure, minerality, or further nuances.
2025 Monterustico Bianco RRP $40
A blend of native Piedmontese white varieties, including Arneis, Favorita, Nascetta, Manzoni and Rossese, sourced from old vineyards in the Langhe. Bright and wonderfully lively, with citrus, ripe peach and white flowers leading into a juicy, gently textured palate. Typical of the Southern Rhone Valley, it reveals flavours of raspberry and redcurrant flavours with floral notes are followed by a pleasantly full-bodied mouthfeel.
Rouge
2024 Maison Piron Coq Léon RRP $32
Coq Léon is one of the most playful wines in the Maison Piron range. The 2024 release is sourced primarily from Gamay grown across Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages vineyards, with a small addition of Gamaret — a rare crossing of Gamay and Reichensteiner that was once considered for approval in Beaujolais but never officially adopted. Julien owns one of the few remaining parcels, and the inclusion of around 5% Gamaret lends extra colour, depth and spice to the wine.
2024 Maison Piron Coteaux Bourguignons RRP $32
Few wines tell the story of Beaujolais’ place within Burgundy like Coteaux Bourguignons. Sitting comfortably between the two regions, Maison Piron’s interpretation combines the joyful fruit of Gamay with the subtle refinement of Pinot Noir. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully poised, balancing juicy red berry fruit with silky tannins and refreshing acidity. Gamay brings generosity and immediacy, while Pinot Noir contributes shape, savoury detail and finesse. The finish is long, energetic and finely textured, carrying notes of red fruits, gentle spice and mineral freshness long after the wine has left the glass.
2024 Pierre Amadieu Côtes du Rhône Rouge RRP $36

It’s medium to full-bodied, plump and flavoursome, a light sandy grip to tannin, juicy in red and black fruit, with a nutty finish of good length offering a cinch of orange peel bitterness. Good hearty drinking. 91 points. Gary Walsh, The Winefront Mar 2026

Juicy and wonderfully lively, with wild strawberry, cherry and red fruits lifted by rose petal, sweet spice and a little orange peel. Bright acidity keeps things energetic, while soft, silky tannins and a subtle savoury edge make this dangerously easy drinking.

As with many Italian wines, it will be at its best served with food. 91 points. Gary Walsh, The Winefront Oct 2025
