German Riesling has so much to offer and there is no one better to guide you through a tasting of these expressive wines than the likes of the inimitable Erni Loosen of Dr Loosen – one of Germany’s most prominent producers.
Beginning at The Alps in Prahran, you will sample the wines of the Mosel before boarding the 72 tram for a short trip – with Erni as your conductor – to Toorak Cellars. Here you will be guided through wines from the regions of Nahe and Rheingau, before re-boarding the tram to head down the hill to Milton for lunch, accompanied by wines from Pfalz, Rheinhessen and the Kamptal in Austria.
Your $80 ticket includes transport between the venues, snacks and a BBQ lunch, along with wines from Dr Loosen, Heymann-Löwenstein, Ansgar Clüsserath, Dönnhoff, Georg Breuer, Gunderloch, Wittmann, A. Christmann and Bründlmayer.
