Globetrotting Riesling raconteur Ernst Loosen of Dr. Loosen returns to Melbourne precisely one year after he and fellow German legends graced us with their presence for Riesling Downunder. Erni’s dedication to the cause of German fine wine, and Riesling in particular, earned him the title of Decanter Man of the Year a decade ago, and there’s no let up in his tireless evangelism. Few if any can match his experience and charisma in this department.
Join him at Toorak Cellars from 7:30pm on Monday 8th February for Summer of Riesling refreshment. We’ll be focusing on Erni’s Grosses Gewächs wines (dry Rieslings from grand cry sites) as well as the various bottlings from the Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard.
