This will be a pretty amazing dinner, hosted by James Halliday AM – Australia’s foremost authority on wine (and a massive fan of German Riesling) – along with the man himself: Ernst (‘Erni’ to his friends!) Loosen. Many of the wines, some going back to the 1970s, have been shipped specifically for this event directly from the Dr. Loosen cellars. These have been matched with dishes lovingly devised by the wonderful team at The Smith. 
Guests will enjoy rare personal insights in all aspects of Erni’s work – be that classic off-dry Rieslings from the Mosel, ‘grand cru’ level dry Rieslings from Mosel and Pfalz, through to his exploits with Pinot Noir at J. Christopher in Oregon, USA. A spectacular dinner not to be missed!
