On Monday, 20th August Bacash has the great fortune to host two great winemakers from the South Island of New Zealand.
Anna Flowerday, originally from McLaren Vale, fell in love with third-generation Marlborough viticulturalist, Jason, and together they bought TWR in the Marlborough sub-region of Renwick. Possessed of some of the oldest vines in the region, this estate has been elevated immeasurably by Anna and Jason’s meticulous biodynamic viticulture and sensitive, thoughtful approach to winemaking.
Claire Mulholland, meanwhile, is winemaker at cult Central Otago estate Burn Cottage. In a very short space of time, this biodynamic grower in the foothills of the Pisa Range has shot to fame as one of Central’s leading lights with Pinot that is elegant, intricate and delicious.
