A life lived with purpose, and wines that quietly tell the story. John White’s wines make perfect sense. The windswept maritime vineyard is in their DNA. They crest with cool, pretty tones, pulse with wild, savoury energy, and unfurl on a finish that gently invites another sip. They are wines John and his wife Kim love to drink. "She’s my muse in this,” says John.
Circulus is a full-circle project for a man who grew up wandering the cellar doors of Adelaide Hills, Barossa and Clare, before a 30-year career in finance deferred, but failed to diminish, his passion for wine. A cancer diagnosis ultimately led John and Kim back to that dream, purchasing Coastworth Farm on the Bellarine Peninsula in 2021. Surrounded by sea breezes and farmed regeneratively, Circulus is a thoughtful expression of place, purpose and renewal. These are vibrant, soulful wines, from a producer whose circle of admirers will expand ever outwards.
