2015 Shadowfax Minnow Rosé
Shadowfax
Very pale salmon, some light red hues. Red fuits, raspberry, cranberry, a touch of licorice, some light spice and earth. Pinot Noir is apparent on the front palate, with berries, fluffy talc and crystalline texture. The Grenache brings weight through the middle, a riot of red fruits and tarry spice. Mourvèdre fills the rear, with lovely fine extract framing the palate and adding length. A harmonious and very fine Minnow Rosé - complex, dry and delicious.

My syle of rosé, with a light salmon-pink hue and a smoky, spicy, charcuterie-like pinot-driven bouquet. Traces of roasting pan and a hint of barrel. It's fine and dry in the mouth. Made from pinot noir, mourvèdre and grenache.

Medium salmon-pink developed colour and also a developed bouquet, which depicts aged pinot noir character. It's smoky, spicy, charcuterie-like and even has a trace of the 'roasting pan'. Smoked oyster, too. Barrel fermentation is no doubt involved. The wine is fine and dry, with a clean and beautifully balanced palate and finish. I really like this style.
