2020 Stefano Lubiana Syrah is 100% estate-grown, single-vineyard, certified-biodynamic Shiraz from a mix of grey gravelly loam over gravel and red loam.2020 is fourth vintage of Syrah here at our Granton estate. The fruit is mostly destemmed but with a significant portion of whole bunches going into the fermenter. The wine spent 13 months in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak barrels before blending and bottling.The wine has subtle warm spice and white pepper on the nose. The overall tone is earthy, savoury and chalky.  There are plums and tobacco flavours as well as talc-like tannins.  The wine finishes with buoyant, brightly lit natural acid. It is lean and persistent and features juiciness, grace and elegance.  An ideal wine for Pinot Noir drinkers looking for the next level of grip. - Steve & Monique Lubiana
