Riesling Riot in Melbourne is both the the largest Riesling tasting in the southern hemisphere and the curtain-raiser for an epic Riesling Downunder program. Featuring some 70 producers including CellarHand’s very own Frankland Estate, Dönnhoff, Georg Breuer, Gunderloch, Dr Loosen, Heymann-Löwenstein, Wittmann, A. Christmann and Paul Blanck, it takes place at the Regent Theatre and is open to trade and the general public – not to be missed, and you can get your tickets here.
Straight afterwards, those champs at Builders Arms Hotel in Fitzroy are hosting the official after-party. Open to all rioters and friends, it kicks off at 6pm in the Public Bar. The wine team is armed with an incredible line-up of magnums to pour at outrageous prices. The chefs will be roasting an entire suckling pig on the courtyard rotisserie, to be served up in soft rolls with apple sauce, fennel & cabbage slaw and hot mustard dressing ($10).
Even if you’re not attending Riesling Riot, join us for what will be a transcendental evening of Riesling cheer.
