TASTING NOTES

The Vins de Fruit are wines that emphasise the grape's expression rather than a specific terroir expression. They are not limited to a single site or soil type, and instead embody the intricate parcellation and diversity of Alsatian terroirs that exist even in a small area like a single village.

2021 was a tough vintage for volumes although the quality overall was superb. So in 2021 Les Jardins Pinot 2021 is a blend between Pinot Blanc Les Jardins and Pinot Gris Les Jardins. The volumes were so small that I preferred to blend them to get a good volume for the fermentation.

The fermentations were in barrel and the final taste is similar to the Pinot Blanc with the final blend having very nice acidity and the body of pinot gris. It's a good match and the wine is fermented through to dryness. – Arthur Ostertag
